CPU-Z

CPU-Z is a well-known CPU detection software. It is a software that detects the highest degree of CPU usage. The supported CPU types are quite comprehensive. The software's startup speed and detection speed are very fast. The Intel Core i7-7700HQ that Xiaomi Games was equipped with had a single-threaded score of 370.2 points and a multi-threaded score of 2001 in the CPU-Z test, which is basically the same as the performance of other excellent gaming notebooks.

Power consumption and heat dissipation

Compared with the conventional hardware configuration, it is believed that most people are concerned about the heat dissipation equipment. At the conference, Xiaomi said that Xiaomi laptops use 46% large heat-dissipation holes, 3+2 large-diameter heat pipes, metal ultra-wave turbine blades, and four air outlets to effectively eliminate the heat generated by internal hardware. Important components such as the CPU will not be down-converted even in the copy mode. So does the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop has the same cooling performance as the launch conference?

We use the 3DMark FireStrike Extreme to test the temperature and thermal performance of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop in the CPU + GPU dual power mode, and use the AIDA 64 and CPU-Z to test whether the CPU will be downclocked in the original game mode. The GPU-Z records the frequency performance of the graphics card when running the graphics test. It is worth noting that the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop has a powerful fan mode to reduce the CPU temperature by increasing the air intake.

After our tests, the thermal performance of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop is quite strong. Whether it is 3DMark or AIDA 64, the CPU frequency of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop book can remain unchanged for a long time, and the CPU temperature is also controlled at about 70 degrees. To know that for laptops, heat is the most difficult place to control, and Xiaomi excellently solved the heat problem, especially in forced cooling mode, the temperature of the CPU under 3DMark is less than 50 degrees. Of course, the noise will be greater at this time.

Great!

Xiaomi Gaming Laptops have given us a big surprise with its extremely mature mix and stunning cooling system. Because Xiaomi has already solved the heat problem that the notebook has been unable to solve for a long time, and the outstanding heat dissipation also gives the CPU enough room to play. For consumers, the excellent heat dissipation of Xiaomi's game is its biggest bright spot, which is believed to be very attractive to hardcore game lovers.

The Xiaomi Gaming Laptop uses a 15.6-inch screen, which is detected by AIDA64. This screen comes from BOE and has a 178 degrees wide viewing angle, 300nits brightness, and 72% NTSC color gamut. In addition, the official said that the screen share of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop book reached 81%.

On the C side of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop book, Xiaomi uses a key layout that is different from other products. The keycap uses a hyperboloid keycap with a key range of 1.8mm. However, Xiaomi did not use a 101-key keyboard in the fuselage of the 15.6-inch screen while designing the programming keys on the left side. Since the programming button is located on the left side of the keyboard, players who are accustomed to other notebooks need to adapt for a period of time before pressing the wrong button on the Xiaomi keyboard.

Today, glare has become the standard, even if it is Xiaomi Gaming Laptop this is no exception. Users can use the software to set the lights. In terms of interfaces, Xiaomi provides a USB-C interface, four USB 3.0 ports, a two-in-one microphone for headphone microphones, a microphone port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a three-in-one card reader, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Xiaomi Gaming Laptops are still at the forefront of the industry in terms of extensibility and design. Compared to other game laptops, Xiaomi's are also more stylish.

Theory performance testing

Cinebench R15

Cinebench r15 is a processor testing software based on Cinema4D engine that can test processor subsystem, memory subsystem and display subsystem at the same time. Like most industrial design software, CineBench can perfectly support multicore/multiprocessors, and its display subsystem test is based on OpenGL. In the Cinebench R15 test, the i7-7700HQ scored 660 points, which is the score of the standard Intel Core i7-7700HQ.
